Hi all,
I just installed Hardy 8.04.1 from CD on a clean machine. One of the things I noticed, however, is that the installation of applications from the repository often stops before completion. Download rate is said to be 'unknown' and no progress is made. Just canceling and then retrying does the trick for some reason, but it is kind of bothersome if I have to do this with every other install.
I use the same download server as I do on another Hardy installation, but that installation doesn't give me this problem. Also, since web browsing works flawlessly, I doubt it's trouble with the network card (I use the onboard Ethernet on a MSI K9MM-V).
Does anyone have ideas on how to solve this?
