Hi, I select which language to use, then I choose to install Ubuntu, then it freezes on a loading screen on the third segment, and doesn't respond to anything. I've tried checking the disk, but it still freezes while it's loading.
I've also tried installing in graphics safe mode, and it does the same thing.
Much thanks.

If you are not already, try installing from the ALTERNATE CD version.

I've downloaded the alternate CD version and now it just stops when it's loaded the kernel. The curser is flashing at the top and it isn't doing anything.

Run the CD integrity check, or try the disk in another computer. It could be a bad burn.

What is the system configuration? Is this an old computer? Have you installed this version before on this computer? How far into the install does it get? Need more info.

your CD might be bd...buy a new one and see if it works better now, if not the might also be something with your CD burner

Did you try using boot options? This page explains how to use them
