hi i just recently got a lenovo x61 laptop, and i wanted to install ubuntu, but still have the drivers and everything from windows is it possible, and how?

Ubuntu doesn't use windows drivers, so all you got to do is download and burn the ubuntu iso to disk and make sure to boot from cd rom and install.
If you are planning on dual booting with windows there are a few guides around that will explain how.

This is what Google came up with, http://jeremy.linuxquestions.org/2007/08/03/lenovo-x61/ like it'll work with a little tweaking.

You won't need the windows drivers except for maybe the wireless card.

thx for all the help but theres one more thing. This laptop has a touch screen that u can use with a pen right, and im wondering if Ubuntu can still run the program?
