gxine blocks Audio Playback in Skype

I have installed Skype and I watch news with Amarok and gxine.

Before the news, Skype is working. During AND after gxine Skype is not working. Even gxine and Amarok is already closed Skype still spits out the error:

Call Failed: Problem with Audio Playback


I have to reboot to get it back. What other way exists to get Audio back?

Yes, there is this issue with skype and/or other applications.

My movie player stops/hangs badly.

What you can do is, after you use gxine, go to System->Prefernces->Sound, then check what device is selected. In my case, after I use skype, it goes to USB headset, which i disconnect after the use.

So check, if gxine is messing with that sound device properties.

I uninstalled Pulse audio and restarted. That worked for me
