I am working on a web based application and I am trying to find a program for prototyping. I am hoping to find something that I can put together my form and screens and show some of the flow between screens. About 6 years ago before converting to Linux, I used Visual Basic to create a prototype similar to what I am trying to do now. Open Source would be even better, but I am also interested in low cost tools. Thank you in advance.

What technology stack are you looking at? Some sort of J2EE stack??

If so have a look at the NetBeans visual web designer (bundled with the NetBeans IDE).

I am planning on using PHP, Apache, and MySQL for this project that I am working on. I will check out netbeans to see if I can do what I am looking to do. Thanks for your quick reply tinny.

With NetBeans visual web designer you should be able to whip up a quick throw away prototype without having to write any Java code. (in theory)

I am with pmasiar on this one. Nothing beats a pad of paper and a pencil. :)

Yes, if you can get away with it. Its pretty hard to showcase a piece of paper to a potential client. :)
