Does anyone know if there is a minimal install option with Ubuntu? I don't want everything on the CD or DVD installed on my system. Is there no bare minimal option or a place to do selection besides the server cd?

Debian has a netinst option that loads all packages from the Internet right from the installation process. Is this available?

there just like the debian net installer, you use them the same way.

What kind of "Minimal Installation" are you looking for?

Most users looking for minimal installs usually install the command line version, and build from there.

You can try one of the below iso's, however. You will still have to most likely build your system from the ground up after installing.
