dial up on demand

I just installed Ubuntu. I use dial up, and Ubuntu doesn't seem to want to tell me how to dial out. SUSE Linux has Kinernet which dials out on demand. Does Ubuntu have a similar feature and if it does, how do I find it?

You might want to give gnome-ppp a try. I think that might be what you are looking for. You can install it via synaptic.

Thanks, I'll give it a try if I can get my #$%& modem to stay connected. I spent years learning Windows, months learning SUSE Linux and hours learning Ubuntu. I appreciate the help.
