Hardy 8.04 only works with 2.6.22.14 kernel...?

Hi,

I'm running 2.6.22.14 generic kernel, which works great.

I've tried upgrading to 2.6.24... via synaptic.

However, during the boot process, the process goes to verbose mode & just hangs at wireless. In ...14, I'm using Ndiswrapper & BCM4306 chip, which works great.

I'd like to upgrade kernels, so that I can get proper driver support in VirtualBox OSE.
