anything better then google gadgets sidebar?

i've been using google gadgets for the last couple weeks and it's pretty cool, but crashes a lot. can anyone suggest a better sidebar?

check out the screenlets site and gnome-look.org for more screenlets. including a sidebar one. better integrated into the desktop.
