OK, so I finally decided to upgrade Xubuntu 7.10 to 8.04. All the packages downloaded fine, and installing the upgrades went fine until "Configuring locales" pops up in the terminal. It is stuck on the "en_AU.UTF8" step. Not knowing what else to do, I opened a terminal and typed "sudo reboot". It rebooted normally, but I couldn't log in with my account or my enabled root account. Any help would be appreciated.
