On one of my earlier installs, of Ubuntu 8.04, I found an option to set it so that when I clicked on a folder icon, it would open the folder in it's own window. Now I can't find that option and I am having to right click on the folder and pick the selection. Does anyone know how this is done?
Thanks

I think you're describing spatial mode. If you are, you are just about the only person in the known Universe who prefers it.

Anyway - in a Nautilus window, Edit > Preferences > Behaviour. Untick 'Always open in browser windows'.

Rather you than me.
