Hi there...
I'm farily new to Ubuntu and linux overall, and I could use some help.
I'm trying to install proper drivers for my GeForce 8800 GTS on my Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron
kernel: 2.6.24-19-generic
and i've run into some problems.
First off i started to download the drivers from Nvidia:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_173.14.05.html
and followed the instructions..

How Do i quit the X11 shell, I've tried ALT+CTRL+BACKSPACE without any working success, it said that it was still running
anyone have any experience with this, or knows another or a better way to install the proper drivers for my video card (?)
(I looked through the forum for a similar thread but i could not find any..)
