I'm re-installing and putting 8.04 on. Prior I had to include "noapic" to get everything going. Now it keeps dumping me out to the command line. I see that some suggest adding "nolapic" - it still doesn't work.
I've got an Adaptec 29160LP and an Intel DG965OT motherboard. Nothing has changes in the computer other than the OS change (ver 7 to ver 8.04).
If I take the Adaptec 29160LP out and use a SATA drive everthing is happy. But I really want to keep my scsi's.
Anyone know about the Adaptec and 8.04 ?!?!
