Recently, I started receiving the following pop-up after I log in:

Enter password for default keyring to unlock

The application 'nm-applet' (/usr/bin/nm-applet). II found an old post
on how to configure this, but it was from 2 years ago...
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=187874

Can anyone tell me what the "GDM" file it references is and where it
is located...

Also, does it matter where I extract the download?

Thanks..

John

I've been messing with this for a while and tried this;

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=769892&highlight=wireless+keyring

When I logged back in I got "Authentication Failed" and couldn't login. I had to go in with Vista and undo the change(luckily I installed FS driver).
Then I tried this;

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=187874&highlight=nm-applet+keyring

which had no effect.
I have both passwords the same and don't get a 'Remember Password' checkbox. I also don't have auto login set. There is another post about setting a blank password for the keyring but I'm not keen on this idea. Hopefully someone can help.

EDIT: I didn't mention I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and I noticed my second link is the same as the original posters.
