Ubuntu and Linux in general gets popular with time slowly. SO I voted for all years.

I think that the onset of Vista has probably encouraged people with older hardware to start looking around to see what's out there.

If Ubuntu popularity can be measured by the books on display at Barnes and Noble (a US bookstore chain), then I would say it's definitely on the rise.
