I have downloaded the latest ubuntu and couldn't wait to install it, except in order to dual-boot it with vista, this site I was reading on how to dual-boot it with vista it said I needed another partition for it. But I only have one partition with all my space on it. Is it possible to install ubuntu to C drive and still have it dual-boot? Or is there a way to somehow resize my C drive partition? Thanks.

You can use wubi to install inside windows or you can shrink down your current partition using the vista tool and install ubuntu in the free space.

The install process from the Live CD (the "normal" CD) allows you to resize your partition as part of the normal installation process. Be sure to (a) make a backup of your important data files, and (b) defrag your windows partition first.

Defragment your Windows few times and then you can resize it during installation.
