I'm trying to install Hardy Ubuntu on a Compaq PC, and the screen freezes when it reaches the installation window.

I have no luck trying to run Ubuntu from the CD or installing inside Windows (it says I must have over 256MB and the wubi fix I tried didn't work).

Help please

Did you try using the alternate installer?

Hi and how much memory does the system have? You may also try and use the alternate cd of xubuntu if you have 256mb or less.

Nevermind, I got it to work. I tried it again using the setting for lower graphics or whatever it's called :D
