This is not a discussion about religion or questioning the distros existance so don't even think of going there!

I just stubled across UbuntuME and I must say I really like the colour scheme & theme they are using. I've always kinda liked greenish desktops and this one is really classy in all respects. The guys have done a great job!

What do you think?

The theme is indeed nice. Ubuntu ME(Millenium Edition?) looks good.

Is there a link to download?

ME is actually Muslim Edition.

Link for downloads, http://www.ubuntume.com/en:downloadlinks

The theme should be available from somewhere I suspect.
Edit:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/ubuntume-themes

Might be available in the repos so maybe have a look there. I no longer use ubuntu so cannot check.

I don't know why we need religious affiliation with our derivatives. Props to their theme though. It looks good!

The theme is merely ok, but the artwork is indeed very good.

I too, quite like the theme, and as an atheist who was initially put off by various religious editions, i actually support them. Anything to make linux grow.

i kinda chuckled at the prayer time program. just goes to show that ubuntu has no shortage of useful programs out there xD

and yeah the theme looks pretty cool, metacity is a bit weird tho, the back/home/computer/etc buttons are all blocks and it looks weird that way

ME is actually Muslim Edition.

I got mistaken for the third time.
When I read about Ubuntu CE, I thought it was Compact Edition rather than Christian Edition.
And Ubuntu SE made me thinking of Second Edition like Win 98SE. It turned out to be Satanic Edition.

I dunno why I get confused with these abbreviations. I can only blame Microsoft. :lolflag:

The theme doesn't like nice at all.

The wallpapers are nice, without the religious texts that is.

All that green makes it look very SuSE-ish... Very nice indeed, though a bit too glossy for my tastes.

Yes but SuSE 9.x type. SuSE 10+ went for bluish-green theme. :(

I wish this theme is atleast offered as an alternative theme.

In Gnome, then, because the KDE theme in OpenSuSE 10.3 (the last one I tried) was as green as it gets.

Actually I was talking of KDE. :)

Yes it is also quite green but the Window title bars and few elements are blue. I preferred the older 9.x whose screenshots I saw green title bars. It looked great.

I like green themes, but that is just too green for my tastes.

I prefer a lighter green, actually.
