Installed hardy, Firefox 3 icon MIA

I can launch Firefox 3 via terminal but I'm trying to put a quick launch icon on the menu bar. Firefox 2 was visible in the menu under Internet. I installed Firefox 3 via synaptics and removed fox 2 at the same time.

now none are visible.

I guess I should be more specific then. I would like to know how to get Firefox listed in the menu. I like having it in the menu plus I like having the icon available

um. thanks? Sorry I posted then realized that you are using kubuntu and I don't really know my way around kubuntu as I don't use it.
