Hey everyone, I can't seem to find much help for this - otherwise I wouldn't be opening a new thread about it. :P

First things first:

Ubuntu 8.04, Gnome, x.org. nVidia 64MB video card, (if that's important).

I'm in love with the Helios Screensaver and want it on my desktop. Equally important is the ability to retain the functionality of my desktop (using icons).

Is there any way to do this? Thanks in advance everyone.

You can't do this without disabling icons. :(

hi,

how does one enable a screensaver as background ? i wouldn't mind not using icons - as long as i can use the menu bars !
