Hi, I need to install java and I can't install it from repositories as my proxy forbids the synaptic manager from downloading from servers( I did put in the proxy server address in the settings of synaptic manager. It happens due to some lame software my admin uses that blocks the repositories). So i need install it manually and I don't find deb files needed for installation or the guidelines on how to install. It would be really helpful if you could help me out and also can sm1 tell me how to run jar files in ubuntu.Thank you.:)
