I don`t know if this is the right section to post my question. If not please excuse me. Anyway back to the point, i just found a great C++ IDE that runs on ubuntu too.
Can someone tell me please how to install it and please give me some links from where i can learn to install programs. I know to use add or remove and synaptic packet manager but not all the software i need is there.
THanks:KS

Go here: http://www.codeblocks.org/downloads/5#linux

Download codeblocks_8.02-0ubuntu1.deb.tar.gz or codeblocks-8.02-amd64.tar.gz depending if your are running on x32 or x64.

Right click on file and select extract.

Right click on the deb file and select install.
