repair shop...

i recall from ubuntu install day that one of the loco members is the proprietor of a computer repair shop, and i was wondering both who that might have been [the gentleman with the ponytail and all the network cables i imagine], and where such a store might have been. Does anyone have any info on this or any other reputable shop where i might be able to get an overheating laptop back to working temperatures?
