I've installed Ubuntu 7.10 on my laptop. Firefox works fine on the internet.
But when I click on a link in a page that is stored on the local disk, nothing happens - it is like I didn't click on it at all!
When I hover the cursor over the link, the correct URL appears on the status bar. I can "Copy Link Location" and paste it to the address bar, no problem.
All software is up to date.
I'm using 7.04 on my main desktop and do some web development on it. No problems there with Firefox opening links in locally saved pages.
Opera works fine on 7.10.
Any ideas? I've been using Linux since Redhat 7 and have never seen this before.
