Besides a few quirks that I've worked out, my Acer Extensa 4420, which I snatched up for $499 + tax, has been a high-powered gem. With such a powerful processor, plus 2GB of RAM, plus a 160GB hard drive, 3D video card with good video RAM -- you just can't beat it.

Sweet deal. My laptop has similar specs to yours but cost twice as much last year. It was a great offer back then though.

Inspiron 1520, E1505, and most of the Vostro line under $500 are 100% compatible. My Latitude D820 is, but it was about $800 when i got it.

Currently have an aspire 5633.

Good enough, but next time I will DEFINITELY fork out extra for the higher resolution.
