Hello, i recently obtained a copy of Acronis. i used this to create my partitions for ubuntu. i made them the correct size, and even formatted the primary for ext3. i can't figure out how to install ubuntu onto my newly created partition. i have a email into acronis support as well as this one here. i would install ubuntu as my only os, but i can't get on the net with it. i wouldn't even be bothering with this due to the unbelievable amount of time i have already spent on trying to get this os to work, but i want to learn what i can about programming in a unix enviroment, so if anyone knows what i need to do to get ubuntu to install on the new partitions i created with acronis i would appreciate it. Acronis disk director 10. ubuntu 8.04

thanks in advance for any help.

Acronis and Ubuntu sometimes don't get along. Get Gparted Live CD and do your partitions.

Burn the iso to disk and boot from it. When you make your Ubuntu CD follow this:
