I have installed an application that uses a 2.6.24-18 kernel module. My distro was a base 8.04 install and came with a 2.6.24-16 kernel that was upgraded to 2.6.24-19. Is there a way that I can install the 18 kernel and still have basic functionality? I tried to install it through synaptic, but programs kept crashing when rebooting to the kernel.
