Hmm, I think it is time to backup my data, wipe my existing Arch install and do a fresh install with KDEmod4 and keep updating it....

Aye, aye ;) It's a huge improvement from 4.0.

if we don't hear from you, should we wait for 4.2?

In my opinion, KDE 4.1 is a huge improvement over KDE 4.0, much more stable and more functional. So I wouldn't be surprised if the KDE 4.1 reviews were a big step up over KDE 4.0 ones:).

I'm trying it right now. Let me tell you this: 4.1 is a BIG improvement over 4.0. Odd enough, i just cant find where to configure the global shortcuts

I just tried the KDE 4.1 (beta I think) from the Kubuntu repos, and installed it on Ubuntu. It's very good in my opinion (I noticed something which could be improved, but it's still an early KDE), but it's very slow. Might just be my ATI card (envy drivers) though.. Actually I think it's just bad refresh rate, since the apps opens fast enough, but the login and logout was a bit slow.

I doubt the Kubuntu packages are the best though.

I believe there is an issue with the proprietary drivers, if you're using them. With the open source ATI drivers KDE4 is about as fast as Gnome, but a little slower than KDE3 for me.

I can't wait to try the latest 4.1. From the various screenshots, it looks absolutely great.

Crap my internet connection. It's limited so I cant even try Arch with KDE4.1.0

Lol, I will definately feedback once I have it installed. KDEmod is still only at version 4.0.99 so I will wait for the devs to release 4.1 and then I will definately install.

Does this version fix the issues that KDE4 has had with dual head setups?
