I installed Xubuntu today, and the conncted an external 500GB USB Hard Drive. I can access the drive if I'm logged in at the computer, but not if I'm logged in through a VNC session. I get the following error:

----------
Unable to mount "500G Volume":

A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" member "Mount" error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.Hal")
----------

I've found other threads and sites with people encountering the same error, but it sounded like they couldn't even access their drives at the computer.

Thank you,
Chris
