I am installing Xubuntu 8.04 on a Celeron 666MHZ with 256mb memory. One step fails during installation and says autoconfiguration failded during installation. Is this going to be a problem for gettting on the internet? Is there a work around?

NO, this will not be a problem on getting connected to the Internet. You could manually configure your network information. Skip this step and continue with your installation.
