i was checking out Debian 4.0 and i noticed
that when you download the iso's
they include a pretty big package list
on the DVD's.

is there anything like that of Ubuntu
like a DVD of packages??

I believe I've read on the ubuntu site somewhere that you can request the entire source-code of the ubuntu repository for free (to keep to the GPL license, ubuntu will have to obey if they can't change your mind otherwise).

You'll have to get in contact with some officials from the Ubuntu site though.

But to download the binary repositories in batch DVD isos, I'm not too sure (keep in mind, the Debian DVDs aren't install dvds, they are there for PCs without internet connections/require certain drivers to be compiled/installed first).

But there are plenty of software tools out there that can allow you to do it, provided that you have enough space to download it temporarily.
