I have just managed to access my other computer through my wireless network - meaning I can access the computers drives as though they where mounted as an external drive on my computer.

Other users use this system and I don't want them to be able to access my other computer through this mounted file.

Could I password the access to this file on my system - WITHOUT passwording it on the computer in which the files and drives are stored?

I have right clicked the files and my permissions are denied - so I was wondering if you had any suggestions?

thanks

I'm guessing a home network, yes? Why not create separate users for the other people who use your computer. Then they shouldn't have access to things you do not want them to have access to.
