I have been looking around some good guide on implementation of a simple ftp server in C, other than RFC959 FTP documentation, I couldn't find any other good articles that has more practical guide on implementation a simple ftp server in C.

Thank you.

My guess is that one of these 38 might work:

Are you interested in implementing an FTP server from scratch? I've never done anything like this before, but my guess is that you'd want to start by understanding the FTP protocol in detail (this (http://www.freesoft.org/CIE/RFC/1123/46.htm) looked promising). Then to code it, I'm pretty sure you'd have to program sockets. If you're writing in C, you can do this with POSIX system calls, which are documented fairly well here (http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/manual/html_node/index.html) (sockets are in chapter 16).

Sounds like it could be an interesting project. Good luck!

I would start by looking into C sockets, client/server applications, and write simple file transfer application to get started. There are millions of tutorials out there for this.

I actually wrote something similar, so PM me if you want a little more help. But I'm sure you can figure it out on your own... ;)
