Anyone else signed up for the Boxee alpha test? Downloaded it yesterday, and it blows elisa clean out of the water. Very impressive.
Only downside is that you have to turn compiz off at the moment, but I'm sure that will get fixed evntually.

I have Boxee installed, but I'M not able to have my windows MCE remote work properly. I able to log in, but not able to navigate further.

In XBMC it works perfectly.

just downloaded it today after receiving the email a while back (july 14) i was lazy. i like that they have repositories for it, makes installing it a breeze compared to xbmc. right now though i can't use it because the ui is slow, no mouse and typing won't work either keyboard/onscreen keyboard. i think it has promise though. let me know how yours turned out?

I just signed up and will try this out tonight. I've been kind of let down by Elisa. I've been using it for a while but it seems that they've recently changed their focus to Windows and aren't really paying any attention to the Linux version.

thanks! i didn't know those existed, i've been building from source/svn lol.

i'm afraid i can't offer much for screenshots but heres a couple of mine. i made a new account for boxee and turned off compiz in that acount. while taking the screenshots i also discovered boxee has a built in screenshot handler which is neat. unfortunatley i can't sign in because the keyboard won't work in it.

here a good read from hackaday about boxee with some screenshots.

anyone else got screenshots or video walkthrough?

Some videos I found.

Not to much info but high resolution:

Lower res, but a boxee dev gives an overview while the video plays:

Anyone willing to depart with an invite - might give a try and compile a 64 bit bin. Thanks in advance (see e-mail in profile)

I can't seem to find your email address.

Pm me with it and I'll send you an invite.

I did a piece on boxee on my blog, so if anyone is interested:

Cant work out miracles - just got the invite 15 minutes ago and I'm still at work :)
Jokes aside, I'll see if I can't compile a 64 bit version on sunday (granted the source code is available).

I want to try that too. Where can we git the source code?

Haha it wasn't directed at you, I have been accepted for the alpha for months now, but since I could not figure how to compile it I have to wait for someone to do it for me. :)
