I have scoured the forums and I haven't found a solution to my problem yet. I am remotely using SSH to add no-ip onto my file server.
This is what i type:
sudo apt-get install no-ip
the output is this:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package no-ip
Next i try this:
sudo apt-get update
and i get this:
Get:1 http://security.ubuntu.com gutsy-security Release.gpg [189B]
Ign http://security.ubuntu.com gutsy-security/main Translation-en_CA
Get:2 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com gutsy Release.gpg [191B]

Reading package lists... Done
then when i try to install again, i get the same message as before saying it can't find the package. This is odd because on my laptop (not my file server) i can find the package using the GUI.
thanks
