I cannot get my hotmail account to render in Opera, is there a work around for this ?? Hotmail works in Firefox, but FF 3 is so slow.

Opera has a agent switcher built in, have you tried that?

Probably wasn't the right word, Hotmail tells me update my browser but won't allow Opera, only IE, FF, or Safari. It does open Hotmail page, but won't allow me read my mail.

Just FYI, a user agent (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_agent) is used to identify a client application. Through modification, it's possible to make one web browser appear as another.

I've never used Opera myself, but apparently Opera has a built-in feature (http://www.zytrax.com/tech/web/change-ua.html) to do just that. Here's a useful list of user agent strings (http://www.useragentstring.com/pages/useragentstring.php).

Just for further information in Opera, Tools/Quick Preferences/Edit site Preferences/Network tab, and at the bottom of that box you can change ID to Firefox, IE, Opera.
