Hi,

I hope I've chosen the right post for the question.

I'm running 8.04 desktop version, and am wondering if there is an install that can give the PC "Terminal Server" like properties, as with something like win 2003 server.

Basically I'm wanting numerous (more than 5) windows clients to be able to independently log onto the Ubuntu "server" to be able to run a particular application.

I've seen passing mention to LTSP for Edubuntu. Is it easy to set up and connect into (XP to Win server 2003 uses remote desktop and is relatively painless) ?

Are there any other Terminal Services type apps (read open source), that could be considered ?

Regards

I've never done it myself, but you might want to look into Cygwin for the Windows boxes. There's a port of X that might be enough to let you login/run apps on your Linux box.
