I recently posted a question relating to drivers for a Lexmark "All in one"X1170. Judging by the lack of replies I assume ther is no driver available to Linux users. I am resigned to buying a cheap little printer to use for Linux Ubuntu only. Reccomendations would be welcome..........Dave

well, if you just want a printer I have at home a Brother hl-2030 --> works out of the box. Besides that HP has great linux support - I think most of there all in one printers/scanners/faxes work out of the box also - or with very little tweaking.

Lexmark produce very few open source drivers - many liken them to over-sized paperworks when it comes to linux, however, with that particular model, you may be in luck. Look here (http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Lexmark-X1170). +1 for HP support

Amazing! A Lexmark that actually works under Linux!

I had to pinch myself!
