FreeNX Sound

I have FreeNX successfully installed, when I log in I hear the the Ubuntu start sound. If I use anything else that has sound (i.e Amarok) I don't hear it. How may I go about getting full support? My operating system is Ubuntu 8.04 64 on a VMware server virtual machine.

I got the sound working by adding the ESD plugin to Xine, but the audio is choppy. How may I go about making it not choppy.

my audio is choppy too. Is this a network problem? I sound not compressed?

what about Firefox 3 + adobe flash player ? how to make them play to esound (esd) system ?


anyone here knows about that ?
