Saw this before, but there's like no info on it.
Their site is a total joke.

$250... Seems pretty high. I spent ~$175 for the full dell tower add another $100 for the monitor and the setup is complete.

I guess portability? Even that really doesn't make sense. $250 for a browser window, I can't see too many people buying into this.

$250 seems too high for me too .. Also, seems like the browser is the main operating system on it .. Quoting the article:

Read all the details. It uses a few watts of power. It is only the first generation. It is not for geeks if you read the whole article.
Just the next evolution in home computing. It is for people who do not care what the OS is, as long as it works. I know this drives Linux techies nuts. They do not like their territory being invaded by average users. Deal with it.
I have a Asus EEE 4G wireless laptop that I use extensively for traveling. The Xandros OS is transparent. I put aside my 8 lb laptop. The 4G is good for 3 hours on battery, the 8 lb laptop, about 40 minutes.
Desktop at home with Ubuntu 8.04 for “heavy duty work”. I use to use Freespire but Ubuntu is much better. If I find a different OS that works better than Ubuntu, I will change in a heartbeat.
Change is inevitable, struggle is an option.

all "not for geeks" efforts seem to keep failing in the marketplace, though. Anyone remember WebTV? or, even further back, the IBM PC JR?

"cloud computing" for the non-geek masses is a chicken-and-egg problem: how do you convince someone who doesn't use a computer that he also needs to pay the recurring cost of an internet connection with enough bandwidth to make the whole thing work transparently?

I'd be interested in a device like this, but this implementation (browser window only) doesn't interest me.

I'd like to have a low-power device that I could leave plugged into my TV in the living room. Throw in a decent wireless keyboard with a trackpad, and you've got a device where you can surf the net and play video off your network, all without leaving the sofa. That'd be excellent.
