It's funny, but whenever I launch an application that's not on the AWN bar, the task appears to the right of the launchers (ie, a preferences dialog, etc..) How do you get this to go away?

This doesn't work. No matter what I do that applet comes back whenever I launch AWN.

Simple launchers probably won't be available till a later version. You could try cairo-dock, it will do what you want and is much more configurable than awn.

Simple launchers are without a doubt available. They are part of the awn-testing ppa debs which are widely used.

I should have clarified, there isn't a very stable version of simple launchers.

nevermind, cairo works for me :)

I don't want to mark the thread as solved because I didn't find a solution, but the thread is dead so MODs go ahead and delete it :)
