How do I run Ubuntu-only, on my PC. Can I install Ubuntu, and delete my Windows Partition? I have an old desktop, and it cannot handle XP anymore, so I believe I will be using only Linux, as it is safer than Windows, and let's not forget stability, and little need for resources. Oh and Just a heads up, I only use Wubies to install Ubuntu.

When you install Ubuntu make sure you format your whole disk including the widnows partition.

Another method would be run Ubuntu Live CD and run the application "gparted" here you can resize your windows partition or delete it, this way should prevent you having to re-install Ubuntu

Run the installation from the Ubuntu live cd. When the partitioner starts, select 'Guided--Use Entire Disk.'

Back up any thing you want to save as installing Ubuntu on the whole disk will erase anything on the disk.
