Hey all,

Got a fairly simple question, and preying for a really simple reply.

Within RhythmBox, i could access my networked music drive, however, since switching to the mighty awesome Amarok, I am completely lost.

Since I'm a complete n00b to linux and all its greatness, I was hoping if theres a walkthrough somewhere?

I've searched the forums numerous times, using various strings, such as;

Amarok Network
Amarok Streaming
Amarok Network Streaming
Amarok Media Server
etc etc.

So, hoping its an easy solution, to my problem.

Thanks guys and gals!

Come on!!!

Someone should know the answer to my problem!

Even if it is complicated, i just want to be able to listen to my music from my networked hdd!!!

Relax. You'll have to map the networked drive to a local folder (such as /mnt/music). If it's a windows share this (http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Samba) guide should be helpful.

Thanks chubs730.

I ended up installing something, which allowed me to create a mountpoint, with a desktop shortcut.

Amarok is now streaming nicely, and i've created a shortcut to save it constantly chewing up the network on trying to check for changes on the music drive.

Thank you once again!
