How to install repos from dvd

I want to know how to install applications from DVD ONLY

Please note that i don't want anything to be downloaded from the internet.

Please give me command line commands.

I checked google and also ubuntu forums but there is no clear answer anywhere.

I hope someone here will relieve me from this frustration.

This is probably easiest using synaptic. Go to Settings>>Repositories and then the second tab "Third Party Software" and the Add CD-ROM button. You will also need to remove all the usual Ubuntu repos by using the other tabs on the synaptic settings dialog or it will try to use those in preference to your CD.
