Hello,

I'm looking for a way to play audio files stored on my PC over a telephone. Is there any way this can be done ? What kind of hardware would I need ?

Thanks!

Ok, I know this.
a) Take the microphone on the telephone and put it close to your PC's speaker.
b) Play the file with your preferred music player (mine is cplay).
That should do it.

LOL!!

I didn't quite want it that way, since it would cause a lot of disturbance when kids are screaming around :lolflag:

I don't know, but I do know that anyone who responds will need to know whether you mean a Mobile or a Landline or even VOIP.

Ok, do you have a small audio playback device of sorts that you could time?
Because then you throw it in ready to play the file, and stick a plunger over it and the phone to block out the sound.

Quite innovative, I must say :) I guess it could be used as a last resort of sorts.

I did manage to google something: http://www.telecomaudio.com/voice_over.html
Anyone know of any similar, reliable devices ?

I'm sure there's an easy way to do it, but I can't for the life of me think of one. However, is this (http://www.ablecomm.com/haauadyoufeh.html) what you mean.
