They should make an "Ubuntu Whinestorm" website (like Brainstorm (http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/)) where people can whine about Ubuntu and the most annoying whines get voted up, and the whines with the most votes get attention by developers so that they can get fixed.

I thought that Brainstorm was already that.

No, Brainstorm is for constructive ideas of ideas and features to implement.
It is not for whining about broken stuff and stuff that sucks to get fixed.

That certainly sucked the fun of my joke. Mind, it was pretty weak to start with.

Sometimes I think we just need to erect a big flashing neon sign that points the way back to Windows...

It may not be a flashing Neon sign but it's the best I could do in GIMP for like 10mins. :D

Kudos, Calvin. I find that is my sentiment all to often.

Well if you want to start using it I could make a better one. It'll help me improve my graphics skills and help you tell people what to do when they're fed up with Ubuntu. ;)

Like the attached? It's not all that good, I'll try and make a better one. I'll also make an avatar version.

Launchpad is for reporting bugs.

I cant. Windows is proprietary. I wont.

Windows XP is getting outdated. I cant stick with that forever.
Vista sucks.

Each version of Windows is getting a more restrictive license, and more of DRM, activation and crap.

You can make one yourself. The Brainstorm software is free and open source.

Except that developers will never pay attention to whining, so it won't work.

I suppose you all feel so much more superior now (lol?) The exact spirit of Ubuntu... "Hey I'm trying linux for the first time"
... "Go back to windows n00b"

"Hey I think this might be a good idea"
... "Go back to windows n00b"

lol.

How were you able to remove the stuff in the middle and replace the "shadow" with something else?

*goes back to Vista* Oh, I see.....Wait, no I don't.

The thread topic died a long time ago, it really never was up for discussion.

thought you might ask that... I kinda like your style tho :)

I just used the select tool to outline a blank area next to what needed to be 'erased' then go to tools> Transform Tools > Scale (or Shift+T) and stretch the selection over what you want to delete.

Cool, thanks for teaching me a new trick. For me all I did was fill it with an alpha layer and changed the alpha layer to a different color and then I blurred it.
