I have trouble setting Firefox as preferred browser; I had just reinstalled an older version of firefox replacing firefox 3 - the preference worked then.
When I installed firefox 2.0.12 I don't see firefox as a selection for Web Browsers. I only see Konqueror and custom. How do I make firefox the preferred application?
Thanks

Choose custom then type in firefox as the command. If you what a path then type /usr/bin/firefox (that's were the symlink to version 2.0 should be).

Thank you for your help. That has changed the preference as to which browser.
How do I change the label 'Custom' in the preferences dialog?

From Mozilla Firefox Help:

"Making Firefox Your Default Browser
... To make Firefox your default web browser, select Edit > Preferences and
click the Check Now button in the Main panel."
