I know you have all been asked this before but I had to ask it!

It's just what I have read so far covers the same topic as mine but there are some variations?
Anyway... I have two SATA drives at the moment one is WINXP PRO (NTFS) and the other is just, well really nothing is on it. I would like to setup a dual boot on Ununtu 804 and my Winxp. Any into or how to's or links dealing with this setup of two SATA drives with Winxp installed would be great.
Curious would it be easier to start the CD install of Ununtu on the boot up or while in Windows?
Also, I remember reading some place that Ununtu will migrate a lot of the material from Windows to Ubuntu? Documents and My Favorites and others? If this is correct will it also bring over my USERNAMES/PROFILES and each of their information as well?
Another point I should also mention is that I haven't used Internet Explorer for some time now and FireFox has been my weapon of choice. I hope it will bring over those settings as well?

AMD 64 x2 5200 Dual Processor
4gb system memory
2 SATA drives
1 DVD/CDRW
