Partial to full install

I have ubuntu currently installed partially on my HD I was wondering what it would take to make it the only thing on my HD, and how to keep my files from being deleted, I do want to keep them because I've spent so much time downloading them It would be torture to do it again

You can use gparted on the ubuntu live cd to resize your ubuntu partition to use the whole drive. Remember to back up your data before working on the partiton(s)
