I love my kitty dearly, but apparently she hates me. When I left my laptop sitting around for a while, I came back to find her curled up on the keyboard and I have no idea what she did. The screen appeared to be the Ubuntu login screen, except horribly garbled. It was unresponsive, so I did a hard reset. Everything seemed to be fine, except that some of the keys went wrong.

JKL; now registers as 123-
UIOP now registers as 456*
M now registers as 0
/ now registers as +

All the other keys are working fine. When I hold down shift, it works fine with the other keys, but nothing is typed if I'm holding shift while pressing any of the bizarro keys. I use both the Swedish and USA keyboard layout depending on what I'm typing, so I tried switching between these to see what happens. The exact same thing happens either way.

My kitty won't tell me what's going on, but maybe someone else might, please?

Your welcome. I wish I had cats in my house. Unfortunately I have to keep them outside.

Change your password and don't give it to your cat this time.
